About SaveIGStory

Start with a specific media link

SaveIGStory accepts links to public Stories, Highlight collections, Reels and feed posts. Choose the tool for the link you have, inspect the returned files, then save what you need. There is no account registration, app installation or payment step.

The Story downloader focuses on active Story slides. The Highlights downloader accepts saved collections. Separate tools select Reel videos, post images or video slides in a mixed carousel.

How a link becomes a download

Our server sends your submitted public link to a third-party parsing provider through RapidAPI. The provider returns media addresses, which your browser uses to display a preview and save a file. Multiple files can be packaged into a ZIP in your browser. A server fallback may temporarily process files in memory.

We do not ask for your Instagram password or connect your account. We do not add a SaveIGStory watermark, upscale files or convert missing content into a new download. Read how links, media and analytics are processed.

What the tools cannot do

• Search for stories by username or browse an account from its profile address.
• Access private accounts, recover deleted content or restore expired Story URLs.
• Guarantee that a provider returns every carousel or Highlight slide, a particular resolution, or a working media URL indefinitely.
• Guarantee anonymous viewing, no notifications, or automatic saving into a phone gallery.

The Story viewer by link previews the same available files as the downloader. It is not a separate account-search service.

Independent service and responsible use

SaveIGStory is independent and is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. Instagram is mentioned to describe compatible links. Public availability does not grant permission to reuse someone else’s work; save content you own or have permission to save.

See download help for file and link problems, or contact support about the service or content concerns.
